Regina’s Dale McEwen is $70 million richer after winning the April 1 Lotto Max..That makes McEwen the largest Saskatchewan lottery winner ever..He purchased his ticket at a Co-op gas station in Dunmore, Alta..The winning combo was 7, 10, 18, 29, 38, 43 and 50..The Western Standard called the gas station where the winning ticket was purchased and the workers didn’t even know the ticket was purchased there..McEwen was waiting to go for dinner the night after the draw and thought, “I might as well check my tickets.” .He could not believe his eyes when the lottery app told him he won $70 million..McEwen shared the news with his wife..“I told her right away. We were trying to figure out if it was real,” he said. “We checked again using the app on her phone.” .“We sat there dumbfounded for a while,” laughed McEwen..“We didn’t know what to do, so I signed the ticket right away and then we called the phone number on the back.”.“I can’t even describe it,” said McEwen when claiming his winnings. .“Dreaming about winning and actually winning are two very different feelings.
