A 14-day-old infant has died after being bitten by a dog inside a home in Entwistle, Alberta, on Sunday, according to Evansburg RCMP.Police were called to assist Alberta Health Services Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the residence, where the infant suffered serious, life-threatening injuries from the attack.Emergency responders facilitated the landing of STARS , which transported the infant to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. Despite medical efforts, the infant did not survive.The dog involved has been surrendered, and RCMP are continuing to investigate. However, authorities stated that no further updates are expected.Entwistle is 95 km west of Edmonton.Evansburg RCMP are asking anyone with information related to crimes in the area to contact them at 780-727-4446.
