A staff member of an Edmonton MP’s constituency office was assaulted on Wednesday by an unknown man, police told the Western Standard..Liberal Edmonton-Centre MP Randy Boissonnault took to Twitter to detail the attack..Edmonton Police Services told the Western Standard at approximately 3 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called to the report of an assault at an office in the area of 102 Avenue and 124 Street..“It was reported to police that an unknown male entered the office and demanded information..“When the individuals present were unable to assist, he reportedly assaulted a staff member and left the area on foot” said EPS Media Relations Adviser Cheryl Voordenhout..In response to the incident, Boissonnault said his staff “have the right to enjoy a respectful work environment, free from harassment and violence..“This incident does not reflect the Edmonton that I know and love.
