An eight-year-old boy died, and a pedestrian sustained life-altering injuries in a collision involving a snowplow dump truck and a green Kia SUV on Saturday near Castlegar, BC. The crash occurred just after 8:00 a.m. on icy roads during freezing rain on Hwy. 3.The boy's stepfather, 44, and his five-year-old brother suffered minor injuries.
