The FBI has launched a national effort targeting hospitals and clinics that conduct sex change surgeries and other irreversible medical procedures on minors. In a message posted to X on Monday, the agency urged the public to report any such activity.“Help the FBI protect children,” reads the post. “As the attorney general has made clear, we will protect our children and hold accountable those who mutilate them under the guise of gender-affirming care.”The agency requested people report “tips of any hospitals, clinics or practitioners performing these surgical procedures on children at 1-800-CALL-FBI or http://tips.fbi.gov.”.EXCLUSIVE: Calgary dad warns of ‘mature minor’ designation allowing children to transition without parental consent.Attorney General Pam Bondi previously released a memo titled Preventing the Mutilation of American Children, outlining the justice department’s intent to pursue those involved in performing or facilitating such procedures.“There is a radical ideological agenda being pushed throughout every aspect of American life... that teaches children to deny biological reality,” Bondi wrote.“That ideology... has infected an entire generation of children, who have in turn pushed transgenderism on their peers through social media and other means.”Bondi’s memo roasts medical professionals and institutions for betraying families and using “junk science” to justify life-altering treatments that include puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries to remove or alter healthy body parts.“These ‘professionals’ have deployed false claims about the effects of so-called care to justify the barbaric practice of surgically and chemically maiming and sterilizing children,” she wrote. She warned that the justice department “will act decisively to protect our children and hold accountable those who mutilate them under the guise of care.”Bondi also reminded practitioners that performing female genital mutilation (FGM) on minors is a felony under US law and stated that the FBI will treat similar procedures for gender transition in minors with the same seriousness..Canadian actors’ union adds trans surgery to insurance plan.A letter issued in May by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services echoed these concerns, stating that the federal government has “serious concerns with medical interventions for gender dysphoria in children,” including surgeries that “attempt to transform an individual’s physical appearance” or “remove... sexual organs.”The letter noted that many of these interventions were adopted before sufficient evidence of safety or long-term benefit existed and warned that they now appear to carry “serious risks of long-term and irreparable harm,” reported the Western Journal.
