A 30-year-old soccer coach in Edmonton has been charged with multiple sexual offences in connection to an alleged relationship with a 15-year-old player.Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said they were contacted in June 2025 about a relationship that reportedly began late last year between a youth and their adult coach.Vanessa Young was arrested and charged on Wednesday with sexual assault, sexual interference, sexual exploitation, luring a child under 18, and luring a child under 16.The youth is receiving support through the Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre.Police say they are concerned there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to contact EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. EPS can also connect individuals with support services.
