OTTAWA — The final votes have been counted in the 2025 federal election, with Mark Carney’s Liberals scoring both an election victory and the popular vote.With all votes counted in each of the 343 ridings as of Tuesday afternoon, the Liberals have 169 seats, a 10-seat gain from 2021.The Liberals in the April 28 vote secured a minority government, falling just 3 seats short of the 172 needed for a majority.
