Freedom Convoy organizer Tom Marazzo says Tamara Lich's re-arrest for breaching her bail conditions was a "politically motivated and vindictive" action by Canada's justice system.During Lich's bail hearing on Tuesday, the Crown prosecutor said she breached one of her conditions by being seen with Marazzo at a recent Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms gala on June 17..The bail hearing ended without a decision being made by the Justice of the Peace. The Crown is seeking to revoke bail for Lich..Marazzo, a key organizer in the Freedom Convoy and a Steering Committee Member for Veterans for Freedom, told the Western Standard that before the gala they "triple-checked" that they were in compliance with Lich's bail conditions..He added that it was "absolutely astonishing" that Det. Chris Benson, who is the lead on Lich's case, "had no idea who Tamara’s lawyers are and who was even sponsoring the award.".During the bail hearing, Benson said he didn't know who Lich's lawyer John Carpay was..Marazzo said during the night of the award, he reflected on the fact that the least free person at the dinner, was Lich, who was also the guest of honour.."There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this action, against Tamara, is politically motivated, vindictive and it breaks all conversations of standard practices regarding such minor alleged offences," Marazzo said.."It’s another embarrassment for Canada, because of illogical hysteria and fear.
