Alberta Premier Jason Kenney will speak to national Hockey League commissioner Gary Bettman this week in hopes of luring a possible NHL playoff tournament to Edmonton..The NHL is musing about holding a two-city playoff Stanley Cup tournament involving 12 teams from each division in each host site..Noting the “beating heart of hockey is on the Prairies”, Kenney said Edmonton has been a “star performer” in the battle against COVID-19..“Edmonton is about the safest place they could find on the continent,” said the premier, noting the city has a very low number of coronavirus victims..
