
An incident involving a cabin at the base terminal of the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort's Golden Eagle Express gondola occurred Monday morning at 9:20 a.m., prompting an immediate response from patrol teams and first responders.
Resort officials stated that trained maintenance and mountain safety teams were actively working to unload passengers according to standard procedures.
There were no reported serious injuries.
A full inspection is underway to determine the cause of the incident, with teams from the gondola manufacturer and relevant authorities assisting in the investigation.
As a result, all lifts will remain closed for the rest of the day, and the resort will not be open to the public. The Golden Eagle Express gondola will stay closed until further notice.
An update on regular operations is expected later Monday.
