A 48-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a stranger while naked at a popular park in Port Moody, BC.The knife-wielding nudist has yet to be charged.According to the Port Moody Police Department (PMPD), the incident took place shortly before 10 pm PST on Saturday May 24 at Rock Point Park. The unclothed suspect was said to have assaulted a man before running into a nearby restaurant, grabbing a knife, and "brandishing it in a threatening manner.".Police were called, and arrived on scene within two minutes, arresting the man "nearby without further incident." He has been kept in custody as the BC Prosecution Service completes its charge assessment."This incident occurred in a very busy part of our community and as a result, we have spoken with a number of witnesses already," Constable Sam Zacharias said, adding that, "thankfully no one sustained any serious injuries."The PMPD has asked anyone with additional information to contact them and quote file 2025-2186.
