The creator of Libs of TikTok (LoTT) published alleged internal messages from inside the left-leaning social media platform revealing Twitter employees discussing a ban on the account..Libs of TikTok posts videos from liberals and left-wing individuals openly expressing their social and political views. The account has gathered more than 662,500 followers since its inception..The revelation comes after two back-to-back suspensions of the popular Twitter account, and then a third.."We received our third Twitter suspension just last week for posting fliers of pride events. I had created a 'mega drag thread' which documented the sharp rise in drag events for kids. It’s a disturbing trend — the Left has become obsessed with ensuring your 4-year-old has access to men dressed as women while dancing provocatively for cash. The fact that I was noticing — and drawing attention to how widespread this trend really is — seemed to trigger the Left. Big accounts on Twitter started calling for my suspension while labelling me a 'domestic terrorist.'".In the offending Twitter post from Friday, LoTT linked to a now censored tweet captioned, "Apparently a female not wanting to change in front of a male is transphobic.".LoTT uploaded the messages to its Substack newsletter. The account owner said a Twitter employee shared the internal messages with her..One employee seemed concerned about how it might look if Twitter cancelled the LoTT account saying they were already being perceived as anti-conservative. The other seemed to be bragging about having already deplatformed former US president Donald Trump.."But if we deplatform this account, we might erode trust in our platform from users who already think we're irredeemably biased against conservatives," said one..The other replied: "I mean we successfully deplatformed Trump — I don't think deplatforming Libs of TikTok is going to cause a mass exodus but I guess it may not be in our fiduciary interest to enact a ban on a high-profile account right now.".LoTT said in the exposé there was some disagreement between the tweeps (a moniker given to Twitter employees) in the discussion thread..It would appear from the thread that, despite criticism from platform users and others that Twitter is not offering unbiased oversight, the platform seems to be on a mission to silence right-leaning users..“Our expectations of Twitter are so low right now that the devil himself is having to squat to get to their level,” complained one employee..“I don’t get how this account, which exists solely to generate targeted violence at marginalized people, continues to be allowed to post,” said another..One employee grumbled that James Damore, an engineer who was fired from Google after criticizing its ideological stance and questioned whether gender disparities in tech fields were the result of sexism, was given a verified badge..“Our expectations are low given that when James Damore came on with his transphobic misogyny, Twitter gave him a verified badge and let him go by ‘fired for truth.'”.The LoTT creator spoke with Tucker Carlson Fox News on Friday in a video interview..Carlson opened the conversation with a quick overview saying they were interviewing the account owner anonymously because "we live in a country where you can't even say what you think without threats of violence against you if you're not on the left.".The LoTT account holder said the repeated restrictions proved their posts are "making a difference" in the public square.."The good news is that I’m doing something right and making a difference," the account holder told Fox News.."The left obviously feels threatened by my account and as Tucker [Carlson] said last night, 'it was targeted because once you see what these people are saying, they discredit themselves.'"."Twitter of course keeps caving to the mob. But I've done nothing wrong. And I'm not going to give up. I will never be bullied into silence," the LoTT account holder said. "Unfortunately for them, I'm never gonna stop."
