Well that's it for me. It's way passed my bedtime. Thanks for ready, goodnight everyone.

Poilievre vows to fight on — but he's facing an uphill battle in his own riding, trailing by 2,200 votes at the time of publication.

No great surprise, Jagmeet Singh has stepped down as leader of the NDP after a disastrous election. Guess supporting the Trudeau government didn't work out too well for him

Wow! Did Tory MP Jamil Jovani bitch-slap Ontario Premier Doug Ford for sabotaging Poilievre's campaign. Very strong words. Clips to come.

Well look here, Former US Presdient Joe Biden has woken up from his nap to send his congrats to Carney.

Jagmeet Singh is running third in his Burnaby riding. Bye, bye, Jagmeet, we hardly knew thee. Remember my earlier comment about those who laugh last?

Even though most of the media has said the Liberals will win, this is getting close. Right now it's the Liberals with 162, the Tories with 149, Bloc with 23, the NDP has eight and the Greenies one.

If it stays that way, the NDP will lose official party status. A total of 12 seats is needed to attain that.

Former Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland has won reelection. She was key to forcing Justin Trudeau to pack is bags. Wonder if she will get those jobs back. Carney is Godfather to one of her children.

CTV says Mark Carney will form a Liberal minority government.

CBC says 47 ridings have a difference of 100 votes. The current standing are Liberals leading and elected in 155, Tories in 149, Bloc 25, and NDP 11 and the Geens have one. A total of 177 are needed to form a majority.

Carney has won his riding in Nepean.

Poor Jarryd, kicked out of Jagmeet Singh's victory party. Look at his face. Who could be mean to a face like that.

And my mom can't watch anymore. she's off to bed.

CTV , the Globe and Mail and CBC declares Liberals will win the government. Not saying majority or minority. Noooooooooooooo.

Currently, 150 leading and elected for Liberals, 115 for Tories, 24 for Bloc and five for NDP, and one for the Greenies. Total for a majority is 177 seats.

In the one riding the Liberals were supposed to win in Saskatchewan, Desnethé-Missinippi-Churchill River, former Sask Party MLA and Conservative candidate Jim Lemaigre is off to an early lead over the Liberal incumbent Buckley Belanger.

Well my mom said earlier if the Liberals sweep Atlantic Canada again like they did last election, she was going to bed and hide under the covers. Right now she is intensely watching the WS live show, and of course, her son's blog.

As mentioned, it's fast and furious. Right now Elections Canada has the Liberals leading and elected in 49 ridings, the Tories in 39, the Bloc with 11 and the NDP with one. Hey, NDP, remember what I said about those who laugh last?

Results will be coming in fast and furious now.

Polls also closed across the Prairies, with only BC poling stations still open.

Polls in Ontario and Quebec close at the bottom of the hours. Strap in, baby!

Poor Rosie and her antics on the state broadcaster continue to receive internet scorn.

So our Jarryd Jager has been kicked out of Jagmet Singh's election night event.

"Got kicked out of the NDP event. They said I didn’t have accreditation, and when I asked why they hadn’t got back to me the entire campaign, they explicitly said it’s because I was with the Western Standard," Jaeger said.

Remember NDP, those who laugh last, laugh loudest.

Spare a thought for the NDP. There are drawing crickets in the East. They could be on the way to losing party status.

And a riding in Quebec has popped up with the Bloc leading. That makes the score 23 Liberals, 10 Tories and one Bloc.

Anyone put a wage on today's election?

The Liberals are widening their lead in Atlantic Canada leading and elected in 21 ridings with the Tories in 10. Boooo.

The early results showing the Tories doing very well in Atlantic Canada seems to have Rosie Baton getting her knickers in a knot. Sorry for that visual, folks.

It's a tie! latest totals are 13 ridings apiece. Stephen Harper got 11 seats there when he got a majority.

As more polls come in from the Maritimes the Liberals are widening it's lead with the Liberals leading or elected in 14 ridings, the Tories in 5. On the brite side for Conservative supporters, it leads the popular vote.

As of 5:45 p.m. MST, it's 9-3 for the Liberals. All together now, booooooo.

Polls in the Maritimes close at the top of the hour.

In Newfoundland and Labrador Liberals leading in three ridings and the Tories in two.

Here's our Sunday editorial on why we think the Conservatives are the best bet for Canada.

And it's 1-0 for the Conservatives as they win Central Newfoundland. Long way to go. Total of 343 ridings to come.

With the eating of the traditional election night pizza, the WS is ready to rock and roll. We have our Jen Hodgson with the leaders in Ottawa, Jarryd Jager is with Singh, James Snell will be covering Alberta and Chris Oldcorn has Saskatchewan.

As we await the first results, this is the story breaking our website at the moment.

The first polls in Atlantic Canada close at the top of the hour.

Loads of questions to be answered tonight.

Will this be the last we ever have to hear from NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and Green Party MP Elizabeth May?

Although, in fairness, Liz is a lot more fun.
