The original story is as follows:

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police has called on the public to help them locate a missing seven-year-old girl in Chilliwack.

Lily Coursol was last seen around 4 p.m. on May 1 near the 50800 block of Winona Rd.

During a press conference on Friday, the Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment described Coursol as Métis, four feet tall, with light brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt, pink capri pants, and pink croc footwear.

Authorities explained that Coursol followed her neighbour's dogs into a "densely-bushed area" but did not return with them. There is a river "in close proximity" to the area of interest, however there is no indication that she was swept away.

There is currently no evidence of criminality, though police said they are still open to the possibility. As a result, her case did not meet the threshold for an Amber Alert.

The RCMP urged people to stay out of the area to let investigators do their jobs, and make sure to check their dash cam and CCTV footage. Anyone with information can contact their local police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Authorities have deployed "all resources available" to help find Coursol.
