A second woman was found suffering life threatening injuries before being transported by air to Royal Columbian Hospital, where she later died. The surviving victim, a man, was treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds by paramedics at the scene..The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the case and a manhunt continues for 50-year-old Eric John Shestalo, who police say is “armed and dangerous.”On Saturday morning, Shestalo's red Jeep was found abandoned in Bridal Falls, about 20 km east of the murder scene.."IHIT members along with members of the UFVRD Chilliwack Detachment, the Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT), RCMP Air One, the Integrated Police Dog Services (IPDS) and the LMD Integrated Tactical Support Group continue to conducted an intensive search for Shestalo, whom has not yet been located. We’re working to determine if he remains in the area or if he left,” said Pierotti of IHIT..“We are still urging people not to approach Mr. Shestalo and to contact 911 immediately. So far we’ve had many people come forward to provide information. We need that to continue as we work to track down Mr. Shestalo.”.IHIT is asking that any witnesses or anyone who were in Bridal Falls between 11 a.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. on Friday with dash cameras or who have any information regarding the homicide to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca. .Investigators believe Shestalo was known to the victims and the shooting was targeted..Court Services Online reveal Shestalo was scheduled to appear in court on the day of the shooting, only 30 minutes prior to the incident. The hearing is listed as a K-file, meaning it is considered a domestic assault case..A person claiming to have been friends with one of the murdered women says Shestalo attempted to strangle the woman two months ago, and that she was staying in Chilliwack for safety reasons.."My friend's beautiful daughter and mother of the two young boys, who was airlifted in critical condition due to her gunshot wounds, is now also deceased," said Marco Pietro."May God rest her soul, and see to it that this monster of a man who stripped three children of their mothers in one day, see the pits of hell and the full reign of justice come down in the harshest way."Pietro says the surviving man shot by Shestalo is the brother of one of the murdered women. Pietro also said children were present when the shooting occurred."He's still on the loose, get his face out there," he said.
