RCMP discovered the body of a 58-year-old Steinbach, Manitoba man in a pickup truck set ablaze after corn stalks were ignited by the heat of his vehicle.Investigators determined the truck left the road, entered a ditch, then came to a stop in a cornfield where it became engulfed in flames on Sunday, Emerson RCMP said in a news release Thursday.“The heat from the vehicle caused the corn stalks beneath it to begin to burn,” said RCMP.Officers patrolling Hwy. 59 noticed thick black smoke coming from a tree line on a property and called the fire department to extinguish the fire.The unidentified man was pronounced deceased on scene.
