Police in North Vancouver seized multiple kilograms of drugs and countless weapons during a massive bust in the Lynn Valley neighbourhood.A number of people were arrested, however they have since been released pending charges. Their whereabouts is unknown.According to North Vancouver RCMP Const. Mansoor Sahak, a months-long drug trafficking investigation culminated in the execution of a search warrant at a home on the 900 block of Lynn Valley Rd. on November 1..In a press conference, Sahak explained that five suspects were arrested and taken into custody. While their identities have not been released, it was noted that they were all between the ages of 35 and 48, and residents of North Vancouver. Of them, three are currently "under the scope of the investigation."Sahak said a report recommending charges against the three suspects, including drug trafficking, and weapons-related offences, has been sent to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada. He lamented the fact that two children were also found at the home, where weapons and illicit substances were strewn about all over the place, calling that aspect of the situation "quite troubling."In total, officers seized 1 kg of heroin, 3.6 kg of synthetic cannabinoid, 3 g of cocaine, 205 g of methamphetamine, and 295 g of furanylfentanyl, along with 4 kg of caffeine powder used to cut the drugs.Weapons-wise, officers seized three handguns, one rifle, one sawed-off shotgun, and a slew of other weapons, including knives, a crossbow, nunchucks, swords, and switchblades. Quite a few replica firearms were also found, many of which had 3D-printed parts. Also found in and around the home were a number of stolen goods, including expensive bikes and items linked to incidents in Whistler.Sahak said there was no indication that the bust was related to Greater Vancouver's ongoing gang conflict, though he did say it had the markings of organized crime.
