Jessica Kane, a 31-year-old sex trade worker, is now facing a series of charges for allegedly drugging and robbing at least one victim in Calgary. The charges filed against her include robbery, overcoming resistance by administering a drug, and four counts of breach of a release order. Currently in custody in BC, she is already facing court proceedings for offences that occurred in that jurisdiction. The alleged incidents in Calgary occurred in October 2022, with the victim reporting to Calgary police he had been drugged and robbed by a woman he had met through a sex-trade website. Kane was purportedly working in the Calgary sex trade industry at the time.ALERT's year-long investigation unveiled Kane was suspected of operating in the Calgary area between October and December 2022, in direct violation of her bail conditions. The law enforcement agency strongly believes there may be more victims in Alberta who, at the time, might have been reluctant to come forward.Kane is known to use a range of aliases, including Claudia, Maria, Kara, Kimmy, Bambi, Ava, Lexa, Hazel, Honey, Mia, Becca, Angel, Heidi, Meghan, Natalie, and Alexis.Authorities are urging anyone with information related to these offenses to contact the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234, their local police jurisdiction, or reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
