A notice from Ontario Health tells doctors to find unvaccinated patients and persuade them into getting the jab..Ontario doctor Caroline Turek shared a photo of the Ontario Health directive on Twitter..The document outlines how to gain access to a list of unvaccinated patients and what scripts doctors, their administrative staff, or government-provided student volunteers can use when reaching out to those individuals..“We are using evidence-based approaches including motivational interviewing and the PrOTCT Framework to persuade patients who need extra reassurance that they are making the right decision to receive the COVID-19 vaccine,” wrote Ontario Health..“Family physicians are crucial to this effort as they remain the most trusted source of health information for their patients.”.The PrOTCT Framework for COVID-19 discussion starts off saying doctors should presume patients will get the vaccine and provide positive statements like “I have mine and I’m happy to help you get it too.”.It continues to guide doctors to tell everyone why they are the right candidate for the jab and end with booking an appointment to receive it..The framework outlines how to tell patients with concerns around their medical conditions are really reasons to get the vaccine to “maintain the quality of life you have right now.”.“So basically we are being advised to coerce patients into vaccination,” Turek said on Twitter..She pointed out the notice has “no mention of importance of informed consent.”.The notice refers to getting the jab as “the right decision” twice on the one page posted online..Canada Unity published an article by Jason LaFace on the Ontario Health notice on Wednesday evening..LaFace said he confirmed the document’s validity with two other practitioners in Sudbury who also received it..“Today we have more backdoor or secretive maneuvers going on which Ontarians really need to know about,” wrote LaFace..“Our governments asked us, ‘please, we just need 2 weeks to curb’ which turned into 2.5 yrs of nonsensical mandates..“When you read this over it’s obvious that our Government is still up to its old bag of tricks.”.Ewa Sudyk is a reporter with the Western Standard.,.esudyk@westernstandardonline.com
