Calgary police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man believed to be responsible for two sexual assaults in Central Memorial Park.

The incidents took place around 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

According to police, a woman was walking her dog through the park, located at 12 Ave. and 4 St. S.W., when a man approached her and asked to pet her dog.

He then allegedly touched her aggressively without consent.

The woman managed to push him away and leave the area.

As she left, she reportedly saw the same man approach another woman walking a large, white dog and touch her without consent.

The second woman has not yet come forward, and investigators are hoping to speak with her.

The suspect is described as having a light complexion with curly strawberry-blond hair. He was wearing black tracksuit pants with red trim, a dark-colored hoodie, dark-colored shoes with white soles, and carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 403-266-1234. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477, visiting www.calgarycrimestoppers.org, or using the P3 Tips app.
