A Philadelphia Phillies fan hoped to see his team play with the support of his service animal — but he and his alligator were unceremoniously turned away. .The fan, Joie Henney, of Jonestown, PA and his alligator, WallyGator, were denied access to the baseball game Wednesday as Philadelphia faced Pittsburgh at Citizens Bank Park. .Henney brought his alligator based on the stadium’s policy on service animals, as is posted on their website. .“Guide dogs, service animals or service animals in training are welcome,” it reads. “All other animals are prohibited.”.Henney told The Philadelphia Inquirer in 2022 WallyGator helps him “battle depression” and has never hurt or bitten anyone. .“He likes to give hugs,” Henney said..WallyGator, the working emotional support alligator, is well-known on social media.
