Your Premier with Jason Kenney will air on 770 CHQR and 630 CHED every Saturday morning at 10 a.m..“The premier will be live in-studio joining former CHQR news anchor Wayne Nelson for a show focused on the key issues and topics that are on the minds of Albertans..“Our Province. Your Premier’will be driven by the news of the day and as importantly, will provide a place every week for our listeners in Edmonton and Calgary to go right to the leader of the province with their questions.”.CHQR and CHED are owned by Corus Entertainment operating in Calgary and Edmonton respectively..Nelson previously hosted “Today So Far” on CHQR..The announcement comes as the UCP gears up for a confidence vote on Kenney’s leadership at a special general meeting April 9 in Red Deer..The premier’s office told the Western Standard “While there is no cost to taxpayers for the show to air (ie: this is not paid programming), the Government of Alberta has purchased ads in both the Edmonton and Calgary markets to promote the program and inform Albertans on how they can participate.
