Canada picked up a silver medal Tuesday after a 19-12 loss against the Kiwis in the women’s rugby sevens gold medal final at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The Canadian team earlier in the semi-final on Tuesday beat Australia 21-12 and beat France 19-14 in the quarter-finals at Stade de France. Canada at the 2016 Rio Olympics took home the bronze medal. In Tokyo in 2021 they did not make it past the preliminary round. Canada has clocked six medals so far: gold in women's swimming and judo, silver in women's swimming and rugby and bronze in women's fencing and men's synchronized diving.
