They accuse them of hate and discrimination. It’s a skillful bullying tactic..They also say extreme body-mutilation and potent life-altering drugs are a human right that saves lives at risk of suicide. That’s how this increasingly powerful force, ever on the prowl for people suffering gender dysphoria, real or not, justifies its militancy..However, they leave a growing group of people out of the love, compassion, and support equation. If it's morally reprehensible — and it is — to shun or treat transgenders with cruelty, the same should apply to people who choose to detransition..But it isn’t that way..Radical trans-activists hail the success stories, but never talk about the suffering of people who regret their decision to transition and embark on a painful road back to who they really are, by detransitioning..They’re abandoned, viewed as heretics, unworthy of being embraced or supported because they no longer fit the narrative. They’re not useful anymore. Their cries are ignored..The government that covers all costs to transition is cash poor when it comes to helping those who wish to detransition.. Taxpayers..Much like advertising companies mastered the art of convincing children they need the latest toy or electronic device, proponents of the trans ideology mastered convincing too many impressionable, vulnerable children they have gender dysphoria, hence, they’re not the boys and girls they, in fact, are..Introducing Teddy, peddled as a “gentle” and “heartwarming” story about a boy bear that transitioned to a girl, is one tool effectively used..Science and common sense are mocked. Children are told their gender was “assigned” to them at birth..Some call this targeting of young minds, grooming, brainwashing and indoctrination..Whatever it is, it’s working..A UCLA Williams Institute study released in June 2022 revealed nearly one in five of the 1.6 million Americans who identify as transgender are aged 13-17 — a number that doubled since 2017. The number of adults who identify as transgender remained virtually the same in that time frame.The institute, an LGTBQ think tank, also determined 99% of the population doesn’t have traits causing them to be transgender. And that .6% of the adult population suffers gender dysphoria..This alarming trend in children identifying as transgender is causing parents “across the Western world” to rise up, said Jacob Wells, co-founder of GiveSendGo that has a fund-raising campaign to help Sarah detransition..“It’s very militant, the ideology as we’ve seen. It starts with the family.”.In April 2022, the Canada Research Chair on Transgender Children and Their Families determined 2% of youth studied who had gender-affirming surgery expressed regret, a low figure detransitioners question..Statistics Canada doesn’t track gender surgeries..Data collected during last year’s national household survey showed .33% of Canadians identify as a gender different from the one they were born with — totalling 100,815 transgender and non-binary people..In a September 29 article — Gender Dysphoria in Children: Risking harm from well-intentioned parents and doctors —retired Dr. David Zitner cautioned against sex reassignment surgeries that aren’t “benign” medical procedures..In the article published by the Macdonald-Laurier Institute public policy think tank, Zitner noted despite “supportive evidence” the American Academy of Pediatrics suggested “clearly harmful medical and surgical interventions” are appropriate for children who question their biological sex.".“At the same time, other experts on transgender medicine, including some who are themselves transgender, are raising serious doubts about the quality and value for young people of gender-affirming care,” wrote Zitner, a former Dalhousie University professor in the faculties of medicine and computer science, and former adviser to the Canadian Medical Health Association..He advises parents to support children who decide they are a different gender, but that doesn’t mean “acquiescing uncritically” to demands for immediate transition..These decisions should be made by adults who “should have the freedom to choose how they live their lives.”.Canadian medical professionals are in a Catch-22..“And given the politicization of so-called ‘conversion therapy’ bans, many medical professionals are reluctant to inform young patients fully of risks, or to suggest counselling, for fear of running afoul of such legislation.”.Not enough is known about long-term effects of transitioning. Teddy could talk about how males on hormone therapy can face increased risks of breast cancer, liver disease, sterility, stroke, blood clots and heart attacks. And masculinizing hormones can lead to sterility, acne, male-pattern baldness, hypertension, dyslipidemia (heart and vein problems), blood clots in the lungs or brain, and osteoporosis..Meanwhile, many detransitioners say their emotional baggage, eating disorders, phobias, and depression they thought they’d shed is with them still..The reality isn’t so gentle and heartwarming after all, is it? It’s time to really start listening carefully to the voices on the other side, those who discovered the promised forever-happiness eluded them. They’ve endured, and continue to endure, unfathomable pain..Do the people who zealously promote this potential path for children by bombarding them with the trans message have ice-water flowing through their veins?
