SLOBODIAN: Hinshaw's dangerous messaging on mixing COVID vaccines

Anti-science! Misinformation! Anti-evidence! So allege indignant critics of a damning Alberta government commissioned report on Alberta’s “flawed” response to the COVID-19 ‘pandemic.’

Led by Dr. Gary Davidson, the Final Report  Alberta COVID-19 Pandemic Data Review Task Force was released January 24. Major concerns included a lack of transparency by health officials.

This problem prevails concerning potential risks of mixing COVID vaccines, said Jeffrey Rath, lead council in an Alberta class action vaccination injury case.

Did your pharmacist — or anyone — warn you about that when you got a booster jab?

Do these anti-evidence charges include the Task Force’s reference to the 2022 study by four Nordic countries of 23.1 million people that found myocarditis in males aged 16 to 24 skyrocketed when vaccines were mixed?

Risk was five times higher after two doses of Pfizer, 14 times higher after two doses of Moderna — and 36 times higher with Pfizer followed by a Moderna booster vaccine.

Should an anti-evidence accusation be levelled at Dr. Deena Hinshaw, former Alberta Chief Medical Officer, who told Albertans it was beneficial to mix COVID vaccines based on “evidence?”

In June 21, 2021 tweets Hinshaw urged Albertans to book appointments for first and booster vaccines. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines “are both safe and work very well,” she wrote.

“Both Pfizer and Moderna are mRNA vaccines. They’re not identical but extremely similar and it’s perfectly okay to get a one dose of each. In fact, there’s some evidence that suggests this may actually boost your immune response.”

The following month the World Health Organization warned against mixing vaccines.

Granted, the Nordic study was released after Hinshaw’s claim, but never publicly acknowledged by Alberta health officials.

Whatever evidence Hinshaw referred to didn’t come from Pfizer.

The contract — pre-dating Health Canada’s approval for the vaccine rollout — between the Liberal government and Pfizer-BioNTech for the supply of the vaccines, states Pfizer didn’t warrant the COVID-19 vaccines for efficacy or safety. Potential long-term adverse effects were unknown.

Pfizer’s 2023 COVID vaccine product monograph states: “There are currently no data available from Pfizer and BioNTech clinical trials on the interchangeability of Comirnaty with other COVID-19 vaccines to complete the primary vaccination series or for a booster doses.”

Canadians should have been told that, said Rath.

“Deena Hinshaw and Theresa Tam (Canada’s chief public health officer) reviewed strategies with regard to combatting vaccine hesitancy on an almost weekly basis. It completely beggars belief that Tam wouldn’t have known Hinshaw was making noises that it was perfectly fine to mix and match vaccines, while Tam had access to a contract that said the manufacturer told you not to do it.”

“The COVID experimental genetic vaccine buffet that was pushed by Hinshaw and other public health officials beginning in the fall of 2021 and continuing even today, was based on zero scientific evidence. The mixing and matching of different covid injections was never assessed in the original scientific trials.”

The government’s Scientific Advisory Group (SAG) and Hinshaw couldn’t know of any study concluding mixing was safe because “none exist,” claimed Rath.

But they pushed on at “warp speed” despite early warnings.

“Anybody who was involved in an ongoing surveillance of the literature was aware that no studies had been done on the safety of mixing of the vaccines.”

“To me, it’s the most egregious example of Hinshaw’s negligence, careless approach to vaccines for the public.”

“Hinshaw pretending to make medical pronouncements on the safety of mixing vaccines was the modern medical equivalent of the fake American sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela’s funeral. He was just making up ASL (American Sign Language) as he went, in the same way Hinshaw appeared to be making up medicine.”

“This is the medical equivalent of Marie Currie standing up and saying it’s perfectly OK to play with refined uranium with your bare hands.”

“Whatever you do don’t mix the vaccines because you’ve just created some sort of chemical cocktail that increases your risk of myocarditis by 3,600% according to JAMA Cardiology, the gold standard scientific journal.”

Most people don’t know it’s a problem.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) website still pushes COVID-19 vaccines as “safe and effective.” It still promotes booking appointments for those “6+ months, boosters when eligible.”

The Task Force recommends “immediately halting the use of all COVID-19 vaccines without full disclosure to patients regarding both the safety and efficacy issues by their physician.”

It recommends against COVID-19 vaccines for healthy children and minors as was done in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and the UK.

“We don’t let parents give their children strychnine. We don’t let five-year-olds smoke cigarettes. We don’t give them whiskey. On what basis would we be telling parents they can give their kids COVID shots when all the evidence in the government’s possession is the shots are more likely to kill the kids than COVID," said Rath.

The AHS website states: “It is unknown if individuals with a history of previous myocarditis and/or pericarditis, including as a result of previous COVID-19 infection, are at higher risk of vaccine-associated myocarditis and/or pericarditis. Further information is available here.” The page has been removed.

AMA President Dr. Shelley Duggan alleged the Final Report “advances misinformation.”

“Can a 23-million-person surveillance study done by reputable First World countries showing a 3,600% risk increase in myocarditis following mixing the shots be dismissed as misinformation?” said Rath.

“Aren’t they the ones purveying dangerous misinformation by attempting to discredit reputable science contained in the Davidson report by labelling it all misinformation?”

Shouldn’t the public be informed of the risks?

“I personally made inquiries at Alberta licenced pharmacies who advised that the Alberta Government hasn’t provided pharmacists with any guidance on mixing and matching vaccines.”

The Western Standard reached out to the Alberta Pharmacists’ Association. Crickets.

Are they aware of the risk? Did they alert their members, to in turn, alert the public?

“Pfizer and Moderna are still available in Alberta and citizens who are still getting booster shots may not know, unless they pull their medical history, which vaccines they had, that they shouldn’t be mixing vaccines and simply taking the first available when they go for booster shots," said Rath.

“Are pharmacists keeping a record of what shots were given? There’s no guidance Nobody knows who got what shot last.”

“Why hasn’t Moderna been pulled if it’s14 times more likely to give people myocarditis as opposed to Pfizer which is five times more likely?”

“Shockingly, in the context of the vaccine class action lawsuit, Government of Alberta lawyers argued in court Tuesday that the Government of Alberta owes no duty of care with regard to grossly negligent or incompetent statements made by Deena Hinshaw without any medical foundation as Alberta’s doctor.”

The Task Force stated: COVID-19 vaccination carries a well-documented risk for developing myocarditis and pericarditis. These heart conditions have lifelong and potentially fatal consequences.

A well-placed source confirmed “physicians across Alberta are seeing a massive uptick in childhood myocarditis cases where prior to this they had zero.”

“People are aware, on a surveillance basis, there might be as many as 2,000 children in Alberta walking around with hearts so badly damaged, with huge potential for early adult deaths on the horizon.”

Rath warned: “The report should be mandatory reading for all doctors and pharmacists who wish to avoid liability for continuing to misuse vaccines in the face of the most up-to-date literature.”

However, Dr. Daniel Botha said most doctors don’t read reports. Many don’t even want to talk about this “fearing they’ll be reprimanded, lose their licences, labelled anti-vaxxers.”

In November 2021, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta investigators raided his office to access Rath’s personal medical file without his consent to ascertain whether Botha granted Rath a vaccine or mask exemption. He didn’t.

Botha judged Final Report fair.

“It’s not a subjective report. It’s a very objective report of data that’s out there, done by other people like pharmaceutical companies. It comes from their data.”

“As a doctor, I believe anyone who mixed and matched COVID shots experiencing any cardiac symptoms including chronic fatigue should consider a consultation with a cardiologist and even a cardiac MRI to determine whether they contracted myocarditis from mixing vaccines.”
