Tiger Woods body camera footage released from Florida crash, DUI arrest

CALGARY — Law enforcement officials have released the body-camera footage of Tiger Woods interacting with police officers and first responders after his rollover car crash on Jupiter Island, Florida.The footage shows the golf legend describing to police what led to the crash that occurred a short distance from his house.."I looked down at my phone ... and all of a sudden — boom," Woods said.The video also shows first responders checking on Woods, who insisted he was fine.TMZ reports that officers asked what exactly happened, and a bystander said Woods hit a trailer attached to a pickup truck, causing the wreck..The driver of the trailer said he tried to get out of the way but was unable to before Woods hit the back of the trailer.Woods has claimed he was focused on his radio and phone before realizing the vehicle in front of him had slowed down.According to TMZ, the arrest affidavit shows officers stating that Woods showed "severe signs of impairment" and appeared "lethargic and slow.".UPDATED: Tiger Woods involved in rollover crash in Florida, charged with DUI.A Martin County Sheriff’s Office deputy described Woods’ eyes as "bloodshot and glassy," and his pupils as being "extremely dilated."Woods told deputies he was traveling from his home, which is about five minutes from the crash scene.Officials went on to note that Woods appeared "extremely alert" during the investigation.Woods also told deputies he takes "a few" prescriptions.Documents revealed that two hydrocodone pills were found in one of his pant pockets.Woods is now facing two misdemeanour charges — DUI with property damage and refusing to submit to a lawful test — and he has pleaded not guilty.
