A transgender biology teacher in the US has declared to colleagues that he wants students to reorganize the way they think about where human eggs come from..The Colorado high school teacher said children shouldn’t think that eggs come from women..Instead, he says, to be more “inclusive,” teachers should rather point to the physiological origin of eggs in the human body — women’s ovaries..The teacher appears in a video clip Libs of TikTok posted to Twitter on Tuesday night, shared by Post Millennial News..The teacher said that transgender goals of modifying the way students see the world in terms of gender can be met by controlling the language teachers and students use in school..Teacher Sam Long believes children should be taught in a way that means all material in the classroom is suitably inclusive towards the trans population..“A lot of textbooks, a lot of existing teaching will say, well, women produce eggs. Males are more likely to be colourblind. The mother carries the fetus for this many months. And some ways that we can show our support for trans and non-binary students just to clean up that language, be more precise. We can be more accurate and be more inclusive. So I would say, no, it’s not women that produce eggs, it’s ovaries that produce eggs. That’s accurate, that’s precise. We’re acknowledging that not all women produce eggs, and also, not all egg producers are women,” Long said in the video..“In our classroom we need to be a stickler for inclusive language in any conversation,” said Long..Followers of the Rumble channel questioned the validity of Long’s proposition..“Yes, eggs do come from the ovaries which are inside WOMEN!,” said jackputz..“Is he saying that men have ovaries?,” asked GeneLamkin..Dbryan11 said, “Stop the world. I want off”.Twitter users were equally nonplussed by the teacher’s ideas where Libs of TikTok posted the video..“The problem is they don’t even understand why what they’re saying is wrong. They’re operating on a whole other vocabulary with a different set of definitions. This is why they’re unable to recognize the damage they’re causing,” said Five Times August..Another tweet expressed dismay about the perceived dangers to the integrity of science..“Egg producers? Now females don’t even have reproductive organs anymore? If these teachings proceed, a generation of children will be oblivious to fundamental scientific facts. What will be the consequences?,” asked OnlyThoughtsAreFree. One Twitter user entered the foray to comment that not all women produce eggs, “Abnormal Ovarian Development — some women are born with ovaries that can not produce eggs. Women with this condition do not go through puberty and usually never have a period. Is this part of the woke agenda?,” Matt Walsh’s Beard Implants said..On his own web profile, Long said current biology teachings are inadequate..“In science class, as well, when students learn biology, they are entitled to see their lives reflected in this so-called study of life. I grew up learning that a baby is made when a sperm cell from the dad meets the XL from the mom, and that’s not good enough,” Long said..Amanda Brown is a reporter with the Western Standard.,.abrown@westernstandard.news.,.Twitter: @WS_JournoAmanda
