Former NDP Energy Minister Marg McCuaig-Boyd

EDMONTON, AB: Alberta’s UCP Finance Minister has appointed former NDP Energy Minister Marg McCuaig-Boyd as a director of the Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation. The move was quietly announced in a list of cabinet directives issued Friday afternoon, also stating that the Tories removed another director from the same organization.

McCuaig-Boyd was elected as the MLA for Dunvegan-Central Peace-Notley in 2015, but lost her bid for re-election in the redrawn constituency of Central Peace-Notley in 2019. In her time as Energy Minister, McCuaig-Boyd oversaw the the royalty review and the pipeline file.
