"And all they're doing is it’s going to save them a hell of a lot of money and using the same transmission line that they transmitted the coal-fired electric on.".On Monday a reporter asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre a question about Biden’s comments, which sent the White House into damage control, releasing a statement claiming Biden's words had been "twisted to suggest a meaning that was not intended.".Jean-Pierre said Biden's words were twisted because "it was loud and hard to hear" at the venue where Biden spoke..A second reporter had a more direct question: If Biden's words were "twisted," who did the twisting?."So, who twisted them? Did someone else twist them?" the reporter asked..In response, the press secretary claimed the comments were "twisted" because of how they were "reported out," adding the "full transcript" of Biden's remarks would offer clarity as to what he meant..The transcript clearly read "we’re going to be shutting these [coal] plants down all across America" because of the green energy transition..But, in fact, the president was speaking into a microphone when he promised to shut down coal plants, and there was zero background noise when he was speaking..Joe, is that apocalyptic or apoplectic?.During a Wednesday news conference at the White House, Biden defensively bristled while trying to respond to a reporter who asked a question about Russian President Vladimir Putin..“You’ve seen the threats from President Putin about the use of his nuclear forces,” the reporter said..A rattled Biden interrupted the correspondent mid sentence and suggested he was correct in escalating his fear mongering in response to speculation over whether Putin would resort to nuclear weapons..“I just — I just found it interesting that, Biden is being apopa — acop — apoc — acopa — Biden is being extremist,'” he stammered while wincing visibly and obviously mispronouncing the word Putin.
