It was a scary scene in Sicamous BC after a Day and Ross transport truck collided head-on with a pick up truck on Brunh bridge..On Thursday, about 5:45 pm Hwy. 1 was closed in both directions for the multiple-vehicle collision which sent one truck into a guardrail that stopped the truck from shooting off the incline..Dramatic pictures were posted on Facebook of the pick up truck dangling off the bridge as an air ambulance arrived on scene at Finlayson Park..According to media reports, upwards of eight patients were treated while one person was trapped and had to be extracted. .A detour was made available to drivers via Highway 97A and Highway 97B through Grindrod..There is no word on the cause of the accident or if there were injuries.
