Once again, anti-fluoride protests took place outside Calgary's courthouse Friday — inspired by the second injunction hearing of one Calgarian. Michael Ryan Jean-Louis, with the help of Safe Water Calgary (SWC), filed a legal claim against the city on June 27.Jean-Louis, along with SWC are concerned about the fluoridation in the city's water system, which was reintroduced on June 30 after being discontinued back in 2011.This was the second injunction hearing — helping to decide how the case will move forward. .Amongst the protesters, Dr. Robert Dickson was present.Regarding the hearing Dr. Dickson stated,"They might move to strike the whole thing.""They'll probably just going to put it off for another time, I would think, kick the can down the road, so to speak."He also spoke further about the damages of fluoride, "it's not safe, it's not effective. It's not needed for a single body function. It's most harmful to the most vulnerable, which are kids, babies, even before they're born as fetus, it's very harmful during their brain development.""That's been proven study after study, especially in the last 10 years, it's harmful to elderly, to women with thyroid issues. Almost all women in Canada are going to have problems with fluoride because it's a thyroid hormone inhibitor. Yes, it's very hard on the gut microbiome and seniors are prone to bone fractures.".Dickson also discussed fluoride dosages: "For dosage, you drink your 10 glasses, you're getting 10 times the dose. Who's controlling that? ""Well, concentration has nothing to do with dose. So anybody that has any medical knowledge at all will know that, but the pro-fluoridation people don't seem to remember that."In Western Standard's previous article on the fluoridation protests, Professor James Dickinson from the University of Calgary specializing in family medicine, claimed the difference between ingesting fluoridated water and using fluoride mouthwash toothpaste is "the amount that's absorbed.”“We want it to absorb onto the surface of the teeth, because by doing that, it strengthens calcium in the enamel on the teeth. Now, if we take an amount in the form of water, it's diluted, and our body circulates it, and so it's in the saliva, so it's there all the time. But because it's dilute, our kidneys get rid of the excess," said Dickinson..WATCH: Injunction hearing against fluoridation sparks intense debate. In response, Dickson says "They're very confused about that. No you can't overdose because this gets flushed through your system. Obviously it's not doing any good bathing your teeth.""They say it goes into your system, then comes out of your saliva, and bathes your teeth all day long. That's totally disproven. And if you want to make your teeth harder or healthier, use hydroxyapatite, even nano-hydroxyapatite." .The judge stated Jean-Louis must file separate applications for cross-examinations, and both parties need time to prepare for the next steps of the case. The deadline is December 15 so both parties can gather all their applications and undertakings.
