President Donald Trump has made it clear his joke to annex Canada as America’s 51st state is no joke — and there’s a price tag on the Great White North and its resources.

The CIA World Fact Book assesses Canada to be worth $17 trillion — meaning that if the United States were to absorb Canada, $500,000 would be allocated to every man, woman and child.

Diane Francis, author of Merger Of The Century: Why Canada and America Should Become One Country, told Global News on Sunday she’d had an investment banker assess Canada’s worth through the CIA numbers.

“That’s the facts, that’s not made up,” said Francis.

“Nobody’s ever put a number on it.”

Francis in the next breath said she was worried about Liberal leadership candidate and unelected politician Mark Carney will turn out just like Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“That is, a good-looking guy with no credentials and no business experience telling us what he wants [us] to hear, and once he gets in, he’s a left-wing loser,” said Francis.

“That’s what I’m worried about.”
