Illinois state police have released the video of an October incident that saw officer shoot a man armed with a knife threatening staff atat a Toyota dealership.Employees at Brian Bemis Toyota in DeKalb had called 911 on October 23 reporting an upset customer, Charles Tripicchio, 32 who began attacking people with two eight-inch-long pocket knives with 3.5-inch blades. One employee was wounded after being stabbed before DeKalb police officers arrived within five minutes..Officers repeatedly instructed Tripicchio to disarm, but he refused and threw a knife at the officers, narrowly missing one.Two officers fired their weapons, striking Tripicchio.Tripicchio was rushed to hospital where he remains.He has been charged with Armed Violence (Class X felony), Attempted Armed Robbery, Aggravated Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, and three counts of misdemeanor Aggravated Assault.The employee who was stabbed was treated and released at the scene.
