Tesla-founding billionaire Elon Musk revived calls for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein/Ghislaine Maxwell client list in a Saturday tweet..Epstein, described as an American financier, was a convicted sex offender charged with procuring a child for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute in 2008. Although federal officials identified 36 girls Epstein assaulted — one as young as 14 years old — he only faced the two convictions..He was later arrested again in 2019 on federal charges for sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York. After more than a month in custody, Epstein was found dead in his jail cell, said to have committed suicide..Epstein shared a long relationship with former girlfriend and British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted in late December on federal charges, found guilty of five of six counts of sex trafficking and conspiracy for helping Epstein procure girls for sexual exploitation..She pled not guilty to six federal counts: sex trafficking of a minor, enticing a minor to travel to engage in criminal sexual activity, transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and three counts of conspiracy. She was acquitted on the charge of enticing a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts..Musk took to Twitter with a meme that said, "Things I'll never see in my life," and included pictures of a fire-breathing dragon, a T-rex dinosaur, a unicorn and stated "The Epstein/Maxwell client list."."Only thing more remarkable than DOJ not leaking the list is that no one in the media cares," he tweeted, adding, "Doesn't that seem odd?".American journalist Adam Davidson, who replied to Musk's post with a lengthy Twitter thread, said he has spent years researching Epstein, much of what he said he "can't publish."."I'll do my best to explain and reveal here," he said in the tweet.."It provides, I think, a good lesson in why it is hard to publish stories about bad things done by the rich and powerful.".Also a podcaster, Davidson included a link to one of his podcasts released in September 2020 called Broken: Seeking Justice, and said the podcast "went further than many in revealing scumbaggery." With the help of investigative reporter Julie K. Brown, Davidson exposed Epstein's crimes through first-hand reports from his survivors..Davidson noted the difficulty in publishing stories when the victims "beg us not to use their names/info" or those working with lawyers looking to win settlements who don't allow the victims to speak publicly. As well, many victims have not been named or are unknown..According to Davidson, "Epstein reportedly raped up to three girls a day for years." Many are unknown.."That's thousands of victims who are invisible," said Davidson..He also said many of Epstein's enablers — "pilots, house staff, chefs, assistants" — have yet to speak out, or have confirmed details but "off the record.".Davidson also pointed to witnesses who saw Epstein with underage companions, but said, "They are all rich and powerful and simply deny and refer to their lawyers often with clear insistence that they will sue.".With the exception of Virginia Giuffre's testimony, one of Epstein's underage victims, Davidson said there are very few who have come forward to testify against Epstein and confirm his list of friends who also "allegedly" engaged in sexually assaulting other minors..Davidson said he and others spent two years verifying Giuffre's claims and confirmed they "never found a lie."."But courts and the public are not kind to single-source he-said/she-said cases," Davidson said in his thread.."Virginia has already faced down and won against some very powerful people. But this is an absurd amount of weight to put on one person's shoulders.".He said he is not protecting those "men who (I feel fairly confident) raped children or watched as others did so," but said he is "honoring their victims' requests."."Like all of you, I have hoped it would all come out by now. I am shocked it hasn't.".Davidson said he believes anyone who spent time with Epstein would have seen him "touching girls in provocative ways."."So, ALL the people who spent real time with Epstein were — at best — witnesses to the almost certain rape of children," he said.."And had a high likelihood that they engaged in illegal sex acts. Courts can presume innocence. We all should presume guilt.".Davidson mentions a list of names that were known to associate with Epstein and Maxwell, including prominent politicians such as former US Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, former US Congressman and Democratic governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. He said he is not able to mention other names of "people I think participated without betraying victims."."But these men should not be invited into polite society," said Davidson.."They should not be celebrated on TV shows as experts on COVID or international relations or whatever.".In 2019, court documents from 2015 were unsealed alleging Richardson's possible involvement with Epstein's child trafficking ring..In an interview on US-based PBS News Hour in September, Gates said although he "had dinners with him," he regretted meeting with Epstein and called the meetings with him a "mistake.".During Maxwell's sex-trafficking trial, Epstein's former pilot, Larry Visoski, testified Clinton flew aboard Epstein's private plane. A spokesman for Clinton previously admitted the former president flew on Epstein's plane four times but said he knew nothing about Epstein's "terrible crimes," as reported by CNN..One unidentified woman who testified during Maxwell's trial said she was introduced to Trump when she was just 14 years old, but didn't allege any improper behaviour from the former US president..Trump emphatically denied knowing of Epstein's sexual exploitation of minors and said he cut ties with his former friend months before Epstein plead guilty to state criminal charges in Florida in 2008..Epstein's former pilot also confirmed other powerful men flew aboard his private plane including Prince Andrew, Maine Sen. George Mitchen, Ohio Sen. John Glenn and actor Kevin Spacey. None of the passengers mentioned during Maxwell's trial have been implicated in any wrongdoing. .On April 29, a federal judge denied Maxwell's request to overturn her sex-trafficking convictions, but said three charges were repetitious and reduced the three to one, which resulted in lowering Maxwell's sentence by 10 years, as reported by ABC affiliate 25WPBF News. She could now be sentenced to up to 55 years in prison. .List of charges Maxwell faces:.Count 1 – Guilty — Conspiracy to entice minors to engage in illegal sex acts.Count 2 – Not Guilty — Enticement of a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts.Count 3 – Guilty — Conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sex activity.Count 4 – Guilty — Transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sex activity.Count 5 – Guilty — Sex trafficking conspiracy.Count 6 – Guilty — Sex trafficking of children by force, fraud or coercion
