With just 100 days until the start of The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, the Calgary Stampede has announced that Canadian-born country music superstar Shania Twain will serve as the 2025 Stampede Parade Marshal.

Twain, a global icon and five-time Grammy winner, has sold over 100 million albums worldwide, making her the top-selling female country pop artist of all time.

Known for her chart-topping hits and trailblazing career, Twain will not only lead the parade but also perform at the Stampede Concert Series at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday, July 5.

"The city of Calgary and the province of Alberta have always held a very special place in my heart," said Twain, who last performed at the Stampede in 2014.

"The Calgary Stampede is an amazing celebration of Western heritage and culture and embodies the true spirit of Calgarians and Canadians. I look forward to being part of it again, not only playing at the Saddledome on the first Saturday of Stampede but also on horseback riding through the streets of downtown Calgary."

Stuart O’Connor, President & Chair of the Board at the Calgary Stampede, expressed his excitement for Twain's involvement.

"With just 100 days until the Parade rolls through the streets of downtown Calgary, there’s no better way to mark the occasion than by welcoming Shania Twain as our 2025 Parade Marshal," he said.

"As a Canadian icon who has captivated audiences worldwide, Shania embodies the grit, passion, and celebration that defines the Stampede. We can’t wait to see her lead the Parade and share this unforgettable moment with our community, as well as visitors and viewers from around the world."

The Calgary Stampede Parade, a tradition celebrating the city's culture and history, will kick off at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 4, with a prelude starting at 7:30 a.m.

Following the Parade, guests can enjoy free admission to Stampede Park from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. as part of the Stampede Parade to Park event presented by Suncor.
