A police officer is recovering after colliding with a taxi in downtown Vancouver.Authorities are investigating to determine what caused the crash.The incident took place on June 19 at Burrard St. and West Pender St. As the officer rode his motorcycle south across the intersection, the cab turned left. .Footage of the ensuing crash shows the cop being flung off his bike and onto the windshield of the vehicle before tumbling down to the ground. Bystanders assisted him until first responders showed up on scene, at which point he was transported to hospital with "serious" injuries.The officer has since been released, and is now recovering at home. No further information has been provided.
