A 21-year-old woman from Drayton Valley is dead following a two-vehicle collision west of Edmonton on Monday.Parkland County RCMP say they were called at 2:05 p.m. to the scene of a serious crash on Hwy. 16 at RR 43. Emergency crews arrived to find the woman, who was driving a Jeep Liberty, deceased. The driver of the second vehicle, a gravel truck, sustained only minor injuries.Investigators determined the semi was travelling west on Hwy. 16 and was turning north onto RRR 43 when it crossed into the path of the oncoming Jeep. Police say neither alcohol nor speed are believed to be factors in the crash.RCMP remained at the scene for several hours and say their investigation is ongoing.
