A woman celebrating her 30th birthday at Typhoon Lagoon in Walt Disney World, FL in 2019 is suing Disney after being "wedgied" by a waterslide. .She allegedly suffered “vaginal lacerations” and “internal organ damage” and is seeking $50,000 in damages from Disney. .The woman, unnamed, is represented by Alan Wagner, a Tampa-based attorney who filed the lawsuit Wednesday. .The lawsuit claims the water slide mishap left her with serious injuries and that the 'Humunga Kowabunga slide' threatens risk of a dangerous "wedgie.".While enjoying the three side-by-side enclosed slides with her mother and daughter, "the slide caused [her] clothing to be painfully forced between her legs and for water to be violently forced inside her," the lawsuit reads. .“She experienced immediate and severe pain internally and, as she stood up, blood began rushing from between her legs,” the lawsuit states..She "suffered severe and permanent bodily injury including severe vaginal lacerations, a full thickness laceration causing Plaintiff’s bowel to protrude through her abdominal wall and damage to her internal organs,” it says.."The risk of injury as a consequence of water being forced inside a woman’s body is far greater than it is for a man," the lawsuit says..The woman was wearing a one-piece bathing suit. .She was taken to the hospital via ambulance and was admitted to a gynecologic specialist to have her injuries treated. .Disney's Typhoon Lagoon has been a popular feature in the park since it was built in 1989. .It boasts a wave pool, several slides, a splash pad, and other aquatic activities. .The Humunga Kowabunga slide has a five-storey drop and sends tourists flying at 40 miles per hour, as per Disney’s website.
