Firstly, in an attempt to forcibly install abject diversity within Canadian society, the Trudeau government has eschewed any effort to earnestly cultivate Canada’s own respective industries or labour force and has, instead, vainly sought to “…[rely] on immigration to drive economic growth and plug labor gaps…” in Canada. As a result, the Canadian state’s once prosperous economy has degenerated emphatically. Canada’s GDP per capita has crumbled, economic growth has become virtually non-existent, and the Canadian economy currently teeters perilously on the brink of a major recession. In addition, the Canadian state is currently mired in “…the longest decline in individual living standards of the last 40 years.” and “…isn’t poised to stop declining for at least a generation.” In fact, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) itself has confirmed that “…between now and 2060, Canada [will] see per capita GDP growth of just 0.7 per cent annually, making it the single worst performing economy of all 38 OECD members.” Furthermore, the Trudeau government has neglected to enforce numerous essential Canadian laws and fulsomely prosecute crime in Canada. as a result of its fervent desire to re-entrench diversity within Canadian society and avoid offending various minorities and communities.Consequently, all species of crime have skyrocketed in Canada since the advent of the Trudeau government. Violent crime has surged by 39%, homicides have hit a 30-year peak, and “Canada’s Violent Crime Severity Index is at its highest point since 2007…” Furthermore, Islamic terrorism has increased emphatically in Canada throughout the Trudeau era, and, throughout its 2024 Report on the Criminal Justice System, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute repeatedly criticizes the dilapidated condition of Canada’s criminal justice system and actually concludes that Canada’s criminal justice system appears to have “…given up on its core responsibilities.”Moreover, Canada’s very democracy itself has degenerated severely under the auspices of the Trudeau regime, due to the fact that the Trudeau government’s overwhelming desire to enshrine diversity in Canada has permitted various extremist ideologies to re-entrench themselves within Canadian society. As a result, political polarization, violence, and democratic backsliding have all started to become endemic throughout the Canadian state, as vast swathes of the Canadian populace have started to spurn Canada’s laws and aggressively reject the legitimate channels for political expression in Canada, as well as the primacy of the Canadian state and its society. For instance, the Democracy Project itself has recently declared that Canadian society has become violently polarized and that “Political disagreements [in Canada] are spilling over into real interpersonal conflict…” In addition, even the internationally revered Democracy Index has confirmed that Canada currently suffers from severe “…democratic deficits” and that “For the first time since the launch of the Democracy Index in 2006, western Europe has overtaken North America to become the highest-scoring region in the world in 2023. However, this was accomplished not by any significant positive momentum in Europe, but by the decline in Canada’s score.”Sadly, although countless political actors and organizations across Canada have attempted to forecast America’s doom at the hands of Trump and his right-wing, populist, politics, it is evident that the Canadian state is currently mired in the midst of its own precipitous national decline. More importantly, it is clear that Canada’s national decline has not been caused by any right-wing ideology or conservative politics.Rather, Canada’s national decline has been predicated upon the Liberal Party’s modern left-wing ideology and, specifically, Trudeau’s own curious fetish for diversity. In truth, Trudeau’s impending resignation may yet be too late; Canadian society is currently a forest of tinder and the myriad social issues that now roil ominously beneath its surface yearn to spill over into flame.Unless a new prime minister is immediately installed in Canada’s Parliament and the Canadian state rapidly divests itself of the Liberal Party’s current ‘progressive’ ideology, Canada will soon collapse.William Barclay is a political theorist and private consultant, as well as a Contributor for Young Voices.
