Its projection for the second quarter of 2022 sees it losing another two million subscriptions..All this bad news meant Netflix lost $50 billion in market capitalization..Disney lobbied hard against Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis’ Parental Rights in Education bill protecting children as young as five-years-old from being taught sexual education in the classroom..Leaked videos from Disney management meetings showed the company pushing an LGBTQ agenda and wanting to make 50% of their characters by the end of 2022 to be LGBTQ..There is a push amongst conservatives and parents concerned about what their kids watch to dump Disney+, Disney’s streaming service..On May 11, 2022, Disney releases their quarterly results, which will show whether Disney+ is adding or losing subscribers..Spotify did not renew the Obama’s podcasting deal. Higher Ground, the Obama’s media company, pitched shows that did not “align” with Spotify wanting shows to reach a wide audience..The Obamas wanted to create content with a “more diverse range of voices” while Spotify wanted the Obama’s star power..Markle’s Netflix series, Pearl, was shut down before it even began production. That’s what’s crazy. During the height of it all, I gained two million subscribers,” said Rogan..The lesson to companies pushing a radical woke agenda is clear. If you want to push a woke agenda, it’s your choice, but that doesn’t mean the public will be receptive and support the business with their money..Just ask Netflix how that's working out for them..Speaking of Netflix and the radical woke agenda ....A few weeks ago, I was watching a Netflix show, called The Babysitters Club with my 12-year-old daughter when out of nowhere, one character said she hopes her future partner is “concerned about climate change and happy wherever they are on the gender spectrum.”.I’m sorry, what?.We’re watching a show targeted at preteens and Netflix felt it necessary for an 11-year-old character to say she was pansexual?.It’s time to vote with our dollars. If a company wants to support radical social values, we need to stop supporting them. Only then might companies such as Netflix and Disney realize they need to stop preaching a radical woke agenda and switch back to providing family entertainment. .If a company that went woke became politically neutral again. I would consider their product the next time I needed what they offer..Sometimes companies need to get involved in politics. But only when it directly affects their business operations. Pushing woke causes such as transgender athletes don’t qualify. .When I pay my cellphone bill each month, there shouldn’t be part of my payment going to support transgender athletes. I didn’t agree with that when I signed up for my cell phone. I signed up for cell phone service..The free market decides which companies succeed and fail..It’s time for companies to stop supporting a radical woke agenda and earn our dollars again..After all, they are free to change and so are we.
