So, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) is on the hunt for ‘extremists’ lurking within the ranks. But the brass isn’t going after soldiers who might be disloyal to Canada. They’re going after patriots. They called it a ‘questionnaire’ that was sent out to the troops. But it’s really a sick, not-so-covert mission to root out so-called ‘extremists’ who might have — brace yourselves — purchased a Make Canada Great Again (MCGA) hat.Former and serving members were just sent a questionnaire. They were asked: In the past 2-5 years, have you done any of the following?• ‘Liked’ an extremist group post on social media? • Donated to an extremist group cause?• Purchased an extremist group merchandize (eg. Make Canada Great Again Hat?)Responders were given the option of saying yes, no, or prefer not to disclose. The morons behind this forgot to include a ‘none of your business’ box to check.Yes, unbelievably, it has gotten that stupid. But don’t underestimate the depths of their stupidity. What then, after someone admits to buying a MCGA hat? Put the ‘offenders’ on a watch list for wanting Canada and the military that’s been depleted and under attack by rabid left-wing ideologues for a decade, to be great again? The contemptibles behind this —the actual traitors and threat to the good of our nation — are the ones who should be placed on a watch list. They're yet another example of how deep the ideological anti-Canadian rot has been allowed to permeate the CAF under Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government. What’s next on the extremist ‘watch’ list? The Canadian flag that screeching radical terrorist supporters are freely allowed to stomp on and burn?Social media was flooded with disgust and mockery.“I hope of military types yes to all 3 questions lol .. then what will $hit for brains do lol ,” posted Darlene M Cameron on X.Trudeau recently sat beside president elect Donald Trump at Mara-a-Lago talking about tariffs, terrorists entering the US via the Canadian border, and Canada falling short on its NATO contribution obligation.Did that awkwardly smiling Trudeau mention to Trump that the CAF was concerned about ‘extremists’ wearing Make Canada Great Again hats? Likely not. That would be akin to calling Trump MAGA supporters extremists too.And who can forget when Trudeau stood in the House of Commons and proclaimed that to make Canada great again is not what Canadians want? With that leadership, should we be surprised that CAF brass who sanctioned this questionnaire/witch hunt can’t differentiate between extremists and patriots? Not at all. The CAF can’t figure out which military washrooms need feminine hygiene products, so the boys’ washrooms are stocked. The CAF just spent $34.8 million taxpayer dollars to purchase military sleeping bags that aren’t suitable for Canadian winters or the arctic.According to a report last spring, the Department of National Defence paid $9.5 million since 2015 to consultants and contractors for equity and inclusion programs and Pride flags that weakened the military. Certainly more has since been spent.A 2022 policy that allowed long hair, pink hairs, beards, and gender-neutral uniforms was partially reversed last July after a major backlash from veterans and soldiers. Morale has significantly improved, according to the Ottawa Citizen. Can’t have improved troop morale now, can we? So these creeps keep circling the troops, sniffing out another opportunity to demoralize and pounce. And useful idiots with their own agendas are always on standby to make a buck at taxpayers’ expense howling about a hater around every corner.Several people posted the details of a consent form to participate in the research study called Hateful Conduct and Right-Wing Extremism in the Canadian Armed Forces. Why bother researching? The title screams that a conclusion has already been reached. The principal investigator is one Dr. Barbara Perry, the director of the Centre on Hate, Bias, and Extremism at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. She’s flanked by co-investigator Dr. David Hofmann, director of the Criminology and Criminal Justice program at the University of New Brunswick. He’s called an expert on right-wing extremism and violence. They apparently collaborate with others across Canada to understand the breadth and extent of hateful conduct and right-wing extremism in the CAF.Along with the MCGA hat, Perry sees the MAGA hat as a threat.“The hat and the MAGA acronym have really become shorthand for this white nationalist movement,” Perry, who mystifyingly claims to be an expert of the far right, once said.A look ahead for 2024 article she penned for Maclean’s was titled Far-right politics will fuel extremism.“Right-wing extremism in Canada has been on an upward trajectory for the past few years,” she wrote.“The reasons are complex: they include the rise of populist figures like Donald Trump; the backlash against public-health measures during the COVID-19 pandemic; which helped fuel the convoy movement; and the drive among far-right groups to recruit new converts online.”Why her university alone identified 325 such groups active in Canada between 2016 and 2022.Perry’s study was approved by the university and the DND/CAF Social Science Review Board.“The purpose of this study is to gather information on the incidence and dynamics of hateful conduct and right-wing extremism in the CAF.”The online voluntary survey takes about 30 minutes to complete. The objective of the “deepened understanding will allow for the development of targeted interventions, reform and inform policy development,” it reads.Huge red flag there that this is a means to an end that further threatens to interfere with the simple aim of military personnel being able to serve and protect without ideological, political interference. And crazy conclusions about their honour and intentions.Confidentiality? Maybe. Maybe not.“Confidentiality will be provided to the fullest extent possible. Please note that confidentiality cannot be guaranteed while data in in transit over the Internet.”Rank, base, and province will be recorded.“Despite best efforts it may be possible that your identity can be determined even when data is aggregated.”Does confidentiality also apply to a serving member who says he/she bought a MCGA hat? Or is that a crime deemed necessary to report to the comrade authorities?Any serving or former member who completes this questionnaire is walking into a giant spider web. These experts have fancy letters behind their names and fancy positions. But they’re not bright enough to understand all that MAGA hats and MCGA hats represent — rights, happiness, prosperity, pride in country. And freedom from being tormented by ideological idiots and uppity profs who have no idea how dedicated and remarkable our Canada and our Canadian troops are. The uniforms slug it out, while critics park themselves in comfy chairs behind desks and muse that Canada being great is a bad thing to support. The troops aren’t rife with ‘extremism.’ But government, led by the dancing Swiftie, seems to be.Like Trump aims to drain the swamp in the US, Canada needs some serious housecleaning.“Everyone seems to blame Trudeau but don’t forget the thousands of willing participants just following orders between Trudeau and that questionnaire,” posted Pat S. Veillet on X. “These military officers, public servants, deputy minister, associate deputy of this and that! All these folks remain in place once Trudeau is gone.”May a MCGA hat be under every tree this Christmas!Wear the hat, wave the Canadian flag, drive ‘em nuts.
