Voters didn’t demand much substance when they handed Justin Trudeau that 184-seat majority in 2015.
Despite a decade of steady decline during three terms of his leadership that brought Canada to the brink of ruin, history could repeat itself in the April 28 federal election. If polls are believable, newbie politician Mark Carney who returned to ‘save’ Canada after years abroad is positioned to head a Liberal majority government.
Once again, voters aren’t demanding much substance from the thin-skinned, question-dodging Carney. He’s tight-lipped about his finances and potential conflicts of interest through Brookfield Asset Management. He served up contradictory messages to French and English Canadians on the crippling carbon tax.
His policies lack details and substance. Is he planning to turn Canada into an “energy superpower” or a “green energy superpower?” The catastrophic difference could make Trudeau’s costly, pointless climate change initiatives that particularly maliciously targeted Alberta look like child’s play.
Trudeau sailed to victory offering little more than stupid man/boy socks, gel-coiffed hair, and a vague promise of “sunny ways.” Then, on the heels of victory, a bogus declaration that “Canada is back.”
Mr. Trudeau, under your predecessor Stephen Harper, Canada never left.
And unlike Trudeau but like Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, Harper believed Canada did have a “core identity,” values worth preserving, all Canadians are equal, and their needs come before those of foreigners here, and abroad.
Beyond declaring love for Canada, does anyone know where Carney stands?
Canada did lose its way after a decade of lousy Trudeau policies endorsed by his arrogant, untouchable Liberal cabal. Most now shamelessly, unrepentantly seek re-election to rescue Canada from the damage they inflicted!
The polls say voters forget how they suffered — lost jobs, stagnant wages and economic growth, forced COVID mandates, a housing crisis, less food on the table, soaring inflation, increased debt, children exposed to raunchy sexual and gender programming in classrooms.
Early on, those paying attention saw through Trudeau’s façade as Canada began a descent into moral and monetary chaos, was stripped of rights and freedoms, infiltrated by Communist China, and became home to radical foreigners who despise us but love the benefits Liberals (compliments of taxpayers) lavish on them.
Anger that the Liberals craftily directed at Harper, morphed into a fond pining for steady days when he was in charge. (‘Miss Me Yet’ memes with Harper’s photo popped up and spread over social media.)
But enough Canadians didn’t wake up until after recklessly giving Trudeau more chances with minority governments in 2019 and 2021.
In March, Trudeau tearfully announced his resignation — not for our benefit, but because this curse on Canada had to flee before Canadians ran him off with pitchforks.
Enter elite globalist banker Carney.
Like battered wives, voters seem ready to forgive and forget, naively believing the Liberals under Carney will change.
How long will it take for ‘Miss Me Yet’ memes with Trudeau’s face to pop up? As deliriously crazy and nauseating as that seems, it could happen with Carney in the PMO’s office.
Although Carney tries to portray himself as an outsider, he economically advised Trudeau and helped propel Canada’s debt to a staggering $1.3 trillion.
Factor in re-elected Liberal MPs who got away with ethics violations, scandals, conflicts of interest, multi-million dollar sole-sourced contracts, a $123 million Sustainable Development Technology Canada slush fund for Liberal insiders identified by the auditor general, billions of dollars disappearing into green energy and other mysterious holes... Nothing will change. The Liberals will merrily carry on. Don’t count on Carney to reprogram them.
Trudeau’s respect on the world stage evaporated. He’d awkwardly pretend to rifle through his purse for something very important when world leaders ignored him at gatherings.
His ranking among world leaders was 19th of 25 at one point. His tenure was rife with diplomatic disputes — gaffes committed by the likes of Chrystia Freeland (think Saudi Arabia) and Melanie Joly (think everywhere.) They’re both seeking re-election.
But Carney’s a soulmate with WEF and UN globalists whose vision of utopia only benefits elites. They share a sinister goal to “reimagine” Canada.
Compared to Trudeau, Carney’s even less transparent. Even less accountable. Hard as he tries, Carney exhibits cardboard-like empathy for Canadians. His fans interpret that as stoic strength.
Like Trudeau who campaigned on an anti-Harper platform, Carney managed to evaporate a 26% lead the Conservatives held because of anti-Trudeau fury by demonizing US President Donald Trump.
Carney plays us with the ridiculous 'Elbows Up, unify the nation,'' slogan knowing Trump’s tariffs to protect Americans from getting ripped off by the world offer temporary volatility and pain only until negotiations can achieve reasonable, mutual benefit.
Trudeau appealed to young Canadians who are now mad as hell at the Liberals who robbed them of hope of getting ahead, buying a home.
Carney apparently has the boomer vote in the bag. If that’s so, it won’t take long for the gray-haired set to pine for Trudeau and furiously wave their canes at Carney when he raids their home equity with his proposed tax.
Meanwhile, Carney has a plan to solve the housing crisis. His grand promise of 500,000 new units a year is realistically an unattainable goal.
He’s offering $25 billion in financing to prefab and modular builders. Who’ll be able to afford them?
Carney’s plan to “build a strong economy” swirls around a spending plan the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) blasted as “irresponsible.”
It involves spending $130 billion over four years that the CTF said translates to $5.6 billion extra on debt charges above the $54 billion taxpayers foot annually in a “financially broken” Canada.
“Carney claims he's not like Trudeau and when it comes to the debt, here's the truth: Carney's plan is billions of dollars worse than Trudeau's plan,” said CTF Federal Director Franco Terrazzano.
“Carney's plan isn't credible and it's even more irresponsible than the Trudeau plan.”
Who knew Trudeau’s decade-long fiscal nightmare could look appealing!
Psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson warned us about Trudeau.
“We’re shell-shocked sheep ruled by a poser with the maturity of a teenager and the temperament of a Hollywood D-List celebrity,” Peterson said. “How have Canadians failed to realize that our government holds them and our 'racist' country utterly in contempt?”
“We not only look like fools. We are actually being fools led by the King of Fools. And we're going to pay for it. So are our children and grandchildren.”
“This government has to go and hopefully, God willing, we’ll be fortunate enough to find some competent adults to lead us.”
More recently, Peterson warned Canadians about Carney.
“Carney looks impressive on paper. I can understand why Canadians think he’s the man for the moment because he was vetted by the Brits who put him in charge of the Bank of England.”
He explains how Carney’s maneuvering and principles he put into place during the 2008 financial crisis “made the rich much richer and the rest of everyone else, and that meant everyone but the extremely rich, substantially poorer.”
Any delusion that Carney can stand up to Trump and the Americans and “bring them to heel” is just that.
“Trump is looking at Canada thinking if Canadians are foolish enough to elect that piper Carney, who's a retread of the worst of Trudeau although much more effective on the managerial front, let's say, then we'll be able to crush him extremely effectively at the negotiating table.”
“Trump would rather deal with a contemptible, weak-kneed liberal than with the Conservative who actually puts Canada first.”
Meanwhile, Carney’s net zero obsession would devastate.
Canada’s fate is in the hands of Canadians who think they’re informed and admire the fancy banker because they get their news from Liberal bought and paid for media like the CBC.
If elected, it won’t take long for Canadians to realize Carney will lead Canada to further ruin faster than Trudeau.
Horrifying to think Trudeau could be missed.
