Creatures that devour their own include sand tiger sharks, scorpions, and the woke..Pity those poor sharks and scorpions when it’s their turn to be moved in on for the kill. .But that’s nature. Savage..Unlike other creatures, the woke don’t feed on victims for survival. It’s a choice, for sport..The religion of woke operates under the cloak of righteousness. But it’s equally savage. .Woke predators lie in wait, anxious to pounce. If the target is also woke, so be it..There are many – at CBC, on Twitter, activists squandering taxpayer dollars on imaginary causes, self-appointed judges eating mom’s soup in basements – celebrating a hollow victory of the demise of CBC’s Wendy Mesley’s career..There’s nothing to celebrate here. A career ended because of some ignorant fabricated offence..On Monday, Mesley’s “retirement” was announced. .This was a loathsome and pathetic way for the inept, spineless CBC management to hide their cowardice in not standing up to the nasty employees – or maybe just one fool – who went after Mesley. .Her 38-year career with CBC ended because she said one word – the disgusting N-word. .But by all accounts, it wasn’t uttered in a derogatory, hateful way. Mesley’s unforgivable sin was she twice said the title of a book – Pierre Vallieres’s White N….of America, during discussions on interviewing the author in a closed-door editorial meeting..Some weasel, void of ethics or decency, reported her. And management cowered to whoever it was that probably smiled at Mesley in the newsroom every day before stabbing her in the back..That she was suspended last June for this, then shockingly apologized profusely saying she was “deeply sorry and ashamed,” defies logic. .Will Mesley regret being a champion of the culture that cancelled her?.Only one example is the interview she did with Jordan Peterson in 2018..Across from Mesley sat the accomplished Canadian icon, a best-selling worldwide author, a professor of psychology whose work is devoted to creating a better society..Instead of tapping into that brilliant mind, Mesley tried to deflate and bait Peterson who speaks out against liberal nonsense like gender-neutral pronouns and radical left-wing activism. .In a cringe-worthy move, Mesley produced a photo of Peterson standing with two men in front of a Pepe the Frog flag which she described as an extreme right “hate” symbol..“Yeah, well the left sees all sorts of things as hate symbols,” said Peterson blowing a hole in her ‘gotcha’ attempt..Mesley asked Peterson what he was afraid of. He replied: “Saying something inappropriate. People make mistakes.”.He said “people are waiting” to pounce, something Mesley has painfully found to be true..Were any of Mesley’s CBC coworkers, who undoubtedly patted her on the back for trying to portray Peterson as a racist, among those who eventually did the same thing to her?.Woke folk, you have unleashed a monster. Nobody is safe. If you don’t stand up to this garbage, if you condone it, they’ll coming for you too. It’s only a matter of time. Mesley is proof that all it can take to trigger your downfall is one word..No matter how much you apologize, or demean yourself, it’ll never be good enough. In the world of woke, forgiveness isn’t an option. The desire to destroy is insatiable and void of empathy..And don’t expect management to intervene to save you, especially if you work at CBC..Management at the CBC is a joke, so selective in what they won’t tolerate. .They took this seriously yet look the other way when reporters and commentators spew horrific racist accusations and lies..The CBC is saturated with anti-Semitism that management refuses to hold people accountable for..It can barely hide its disdain for imaginary racist privileged whites..But that’s OK. Stopping that from going on air – as opposed to Mesley’s closed-door meeting – would take courage and decency and the will to honestly present the news without sick bias..It’s just so much easier to go after someone who said the name of a book out loud..Like her or not, disagree with her or not – it’s irrelevant. Nobody cares..Mesley devoted almost four decades of her life to the corporation. She didn’t deserve what the CBC did to her..Slobodian is a Western Standard columnist based in Manitoba
