Here’s a simple formula to help Canadian Heritage managers get on track when doling out millions of taxpayer dollars in grants for Canada Day celebrations.No Canadian flag, no O Canada, no exhibit of national pride and unity — no grant money. Period. Don’t bother applying.Let everybody wailing about colonialism which is rooted in Marxism, or pushing racist diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), disrespect and trash Canada on their own dime.That includes these managers who overstep their boundaries.Canada seriously needs an Elon Musk-like DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) cleanup — drain the swamp — on the Canada Day observance ceremonies aisle.Root out these woke, unpatriotic managers in the shadows who decided that federal observance of Canada Day is evolving and must be revised to “adapt to emerging needs and social expectations.”Whose expectations? Why, their expectations. And the expectations of those who gorge at the taxpayer’s trough. Billions to indigenous reconciliation despite not one proven Residential School mass grave. Millions to DEI programs which are an excuse to avoid meritocracy, ignite division, and fabricate victimhood and resentment. Then these feeders have the gall to spit at said trough filled by hardworking Canadians because Canada just isn’t good enough for them or won’t bend to their will.These Heritage managers have an obscene amount of our cash to play with as they try to reshape Canada Day celebrations according to their vision. The Heritage program grants about $25.5 million annually to community organizers, according to Blacklock’s Reporter.“Roughly three quarters of funding applications were for Canada Day events (76%) followed by events for National Indigenous Peoples Day (8%), Canadian Multiculturalism Day (5%) and Saint Jean Baptiste Day (4%),” said the Heritage Evaluation Of The Celebration And Commemoration Program report.It stated these biased unelected bureaucrats actually were approving of those who cancelled July 1 activities to reflect Canada’s “history of colonialism.”It claimed “societal values are continuing to shift” while admitting it is the program itself that “made efforts” to shift focus from honouring Canada to honouring reconciliation and DEI.“There are opportunities to work towards even greater engagement of Indigenous peoples and for more outreach to equity communities to better align department activities with the ongoing evolution of Canadian identity and to ensure intended outcomes are reached,” stated the report.Who gave these public servants the authority to reshape what Canada should or shouldn’t be proud of and determine what the intended outcomes should be?The report boasted about revised guidelines “to ensure that Canada Day celebrations continue to evolve in an inclusive manner.”Vancouver’s July 1 event, for example, which was renamed Canada Together is hailed as “weaving together the fabric of a nation.”Too bad the one fabric that should hold us together — our glorious Canadian flag — is scarcely, if at all, visible at what are actually anti-Canada celebrations patriots are forced to pay for.These managers are perfectly placed to carry out Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s openly disdainful view of Canada shoved in our faces for a decade until we wanted to vomit.When the profound nausea and a country in a mess finally lead to steadily plummeting Liberal popularity, US President Donald Trump’s tariffs offered Trudeau the perfect guise to get all ‘RAH-RAH Canada.’The Western Standard’s Pipeline addressed how the hypocrite opportunist drowning Trudeau was (Suddenly) on Guard for Thee.Thee, for Trudeau, just doesn’t include serving and veteran military, truckers, Christians, parents, Jews who’ve been terrorized by mobs waving pro-Hamas flags (never Canadian flags), Old Stock white citizens, the energy industry, Alberta, or the unwashed unwoke that Trudeau has neglected, punished, and openly discriminated against.“Canadians are incredibly proud of being Canadian,” Trudeau told CNN when asked about Trump’s comments on making Canada the 51st state.Why? The best he could come up with after a decade as PM was: “One of the ways we define ourselves most easily is, ‘well, we're not American.’”Odd, how a guy who insults Trump and Americans on hot mics and before audiences is trying so desperately to emulate the patriotic promises that propelled the 47th president back into the Oval Office and has revived hope in Americans.Trump’s roaring is sincere. He’s proving it. Trudeau’s whimpers fall flat. He has proven it time and again. Canadians know Trudeau’s track record and just don’t believe anything he says.But he’s not alone in trying to hitch a ride on Trump’s coattails by mimicking the patriotic rally cry.Enter Mark Carney, who parachuted back into Canada suffering the delusion that he’s entitled to reside at 24 Sussex.Mr. Dull Personality is awkward on the campaign trail when talking to regular Canadians. He’s more comfortable before a World Economic Forum Crowd (WEF), a big bank crowd, or a one-on-one with his bestie WEF founder Klaus Schwab.Where do his allegiances lie? His claims that he’s in the Liberal leadership race to be the saviour who’ll take on big, bad Trump in an avoidable trade war also fall flat.“We must be masters in our home,” he recently reporters in Regina.That goes against the grain of everything pushed by WEF (he’s a member) and globalists who don’t appreciate sovereign nations waving their own flags. And please, turn the volume down on those national anthems.Has Carney had an epiphany?“I’m doing this because I love our country,” he said in Edmonton in January when he announced he was running.Then why didn’t he chase the Liberal leadership in an honest way instead of being part of a ruse devised to land him squarely in the prime minister’s chair.Canadians didn’t elect him. He doesn’t deserve to be there. He didn’t earn it fair and square.Like the Heritage managers, he apparently doesn’t concern himself with such trivial details.Like the Heritage managers Carney seem to abide by the belief that Canada must “evolve” — but only according to the will of him and the Liberal party.No matter where one sits on the ladder, a swamp creature is a swamp creature.Carney’s all but coronated as winner on March 9 and will plant himself in the prime minister’s leather chair for a time, anyway.Maybe he does love Canada.But like the reconciliation and DEI crowd, and the unelected Heritage managers, he’s taking advantage of, even abusing, what this great nation offers, thus, indicating that he doesn’t respect Canada’s ways.It's a supreme insult to what our flag represents.O poor Canada saddled with Carney — or anybody — deviously foisted on us, like it or not.Here's a simple formula to rectify that. An election.Canada’s been beaten up enough.
