
Regina Police Service (RPS) has issued a safety alert for Louis Ted Mercredi, 41, who is at a high risk of reoffending sexually or violently.
As of January 13, Mercredi resides in the Heritage neighbourhood under supervision.
Mercredi is about 5-ft. 9-ins., and 220 pounds.
He has a heavy build, brown eyes, and short black hair.
He has a criminal history involving violent sexual offences and has reoffended in the past.
He completed programs meant to address his risk factors while incarcerated but has not demonstrated a reduced risk of reoffending.
In a prior sentencing, he was designated a Dangerous Offender and received a 10-year Long-Term Supervision Order.
RPS reminds the public that it does not make release decisions which fall under the Corrections and Conditional Release Act.
