A major drug trafficking investigation has led to the arrests of two men and the seizure of large quantities of drugs, cash, and weapons, according to the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS).Members of the SPS Crime Reduction Team, supported by the Tactical Support and Guns and Gangs Units, made the arrests on the evening of May 2.Around 6 pm CST, officers arrested a 39-year-old man at a business on the 2100 block of 8th Street East. Police say he was found carrying cocaine, cash, and a knife. He was also wanted on several Canada-wide warrants, including one for breaching statutory release..About 30 minutes later, police conducted a traffic stop near Phelps Way and Tweed Lane. They arrested an 18-year-old man and two youth females. The man was allegedly carrying cocaine, cash, and a knife. The two girls were later released without charges to a responsible adult.Search warrants were then executed at a rural property on Stoney Ridge Crescent in the RM of Aberdeen, a residence in the 100 block of Phelps Way, and a business on 103rd Street West.Police say they seized 4,200 hydromorphone tablets, more than 7,800 grams of powdered cocaine, $428,795 in cash, two CO2 pellet pistols, a machete, a knife, 9mm ammunition, and several cellphones.Both men are facing charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, and multiple weapons-related offences.
