Saskatoon man charged with first-degree murder following fatal stabbing

A 23-year-old man has died following a stabbing at a business in Saskatoon on the evening of January 20.

Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) responded to a report of an injured person at approximately 8:00 p.m. in the 3900 block of Millar Avenue. 

Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from stab wounds.

He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

The suspect, a 53-year-old man, fled the scene but was located and arrested near Second Avenue South and Spadina Crescent East. 

He has been charged with First-Degree Murder.

SPS Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Section are continuing to investigate the incident.

The SPS have not yet released the names of the victim or the suspect.
