Saskatchewan’s Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) is investigating after a Regina police officer shot a person during an incident Friday morning.According to a news release from the Regina Police Service (RPS), the shooting happened around 10:10 am in the 1300 block of Garnet Street. Police say an officer discharged their firearm, wounding an individual.No details have been released about what led to the shooting, the identity of the person who was shot, or the nature of the original investigation.Under The Police Act, 1990, SIRT was called in to take over the case.
