A 45-year-old Weyburn man is facing multiple charges after an investigation by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit.The investigation began in February 2024, focusing on alleged child luring activities taking place online. On July 17, 2024, the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Weyburn. Investigators seized and examined several electronic devices during the search.Following a thorough review of the evidence, Robert Brydon was charged on May 9, with four counts of luring a child under section 172.1(c) of the Criminal Code.Brydon appeared in court the same day and was released under strict conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 24, at 9:30 a.m. CST in Weyburn Provincial Court.The Saskatchewan ICE Unit includes members from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. The unit investigates crimes involving the online exploitation and abuse of children.
