A Blue Origin New Glenn rocket exploded on the launch pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Thursday night, dealing a major blow to Jeff Bezos’ space company.
The rocket burst into a massive fireball around 9 p.m. EDT as its engines appeared to ignite during a static fire test, a pre-launch procedure meant to test the rocket while it remains secured to the pad.
